Who we are

Karawya LLC (“Karawya”, “we”, “us”) is responsible for the information described here. You can reach us at hello@karawya.com.

This policy covers the website karawya.com and emails sent to addresses at karawya.com. Each of our apps has its own privacy policy, for example Picsie’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).

When you visit this website

• We don’t use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind, and we don’t load fonts or scripts from other companies.
• The light/dark button only changes the page while you are on it. Your choice isn’t saved.
• The site is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and keep the site secure, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. We don’t use this information to identify you or to build a profile of you. Cloudflare explains its handling in its privacy policy (opens in a new tab).

When you email us

If you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, your message and any attachments.

• Email to karawya.com addresses is received by Cloudflare Email Routing and delivered to our mailbox at Google (Gmail).
• Our replies are sent through Resend, an email delivery service.

We use your email only to read it, reply and deal with what you asked. We keep it for as long as we need to for that and any follow-up, then delete it, unless we have to keep it longer by law. We don’t sell your information or share it for advertising.

Where your information goes

Cloudflare, Google and Resend may process information in the United States and other countries. They handle it under their own data protection terms, which include safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the UK and the European Economic Area.

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, we rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure website and answering the people who contact us.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. Email hello@karawya.com and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, you can also complain to your local data protection authority, for example the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK.

Children

This website isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has emailed us, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only, with modern encryption. Our email domain is protected against forged messages (SPF, DKIM and DMARC).

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
